In April this year we were back at one of our favourite Scottish wedding venues – the Roman Camp Hotel in Callander for the wedding of Claire and Robert Docking. Claire and Robert got married in St Fillan’s Church in Doune before heading back to the Roman Camp for their Wedding Reception and evening Ceilidh….
“Venimus. Vidimus. Vicimus”. We came. We saw. We conquered. Or so the Roman’s thought when they visited the Callander area and set up camp a couple of Millennia ago. It wasn’t long of course before the brave Scots kicked them into touch and sent them packing back over Hadrian’s Wall. Remnants of that Roman camping…
